Why is this your favourite party
look and when will you be wearing it?
“I just feel super feminine
and self-confident in this Smashed Lemon maxi dress paired with high-heel boots
from Tamaris. This dress is lovely and breezy to wear while the supple fabric
also allows me to move freely so I can pick up our son to admire the bright
lights in the Christmas tree. It’s also the kind of outfit that you can
continue wearing when the festive season is over, which I love. The finishing
touch to my outfit are these delightful Christmas tree earrings from Glamfemme
that sparkle with rhinestones. After all Christmas isn’t a season, it’s a
feeling!”
What are your plans for the holiday
season?
“Our schedule for the holiday season is
always packed but fun. On Christmas Eve we traditionally gather with the family
for a 3-course meal and after the main course, we all sit around the Christmas
tree to unwrap gifts. When the food and gift parts are over, we bring out the
drinks, some more tasty snacks and some boardgames. And we end the night with a
fun Christmas movie: The Grinch being the all-time favourite. On
Christmas Day and Boxing Day we have brunch with the family and we round off
Boxing Day with a dinner with friends! A wonderful tradition that is a great
addition to all the family fun.
We don’t have any traditions when it comes to celebrating New Year’s Eve, it all depends on what we feel like doing. One year we might celebrate with family and then celebrate with friends the next. But the most important thing to us is to spend quality time with the people we love.”

Why is this your favourite
party look and when will you be wearing it?
“I’m always cold, so this Smashed
Lemon turtleneck is a perfect outfit choice for me. Plus this turtleneck gives
me plenty of styling versatility. For this occasion I decided to wear her with
this cute sixties skirt by Mademoiselle YéYé for that festive touch. This skirt
is cute and playful and comes in a gorgeous colourway. I pair this outfit with
my comfy Dr. Martens to complete the look. I will wear this wonderfully warm
and cosy Christmas look on Christmas Eve.”
What are your plans for the
holiday season?
“My schedule for the
holiday season is always packed. I’m spending Christmas Eve with my parents an
my in-laws which includes cooking a festive feast and exchanging plenty of
gifts. On Christmas Day, my boyfriend and I have breakfast at my parents
and in the afternoon we visit my grandmother. On Boxing Day we visit my
boyfriend’s grandparents. We spend the third day of Christmas with friends with
plenty of food and boardgames.
After the holidays, I always plan some quality time with my boyfriend. Usually by then we feel like we couldn’t possibly eat another bite and our social battery is drained. It’s the perfect time to cuddle up on the sofa underneath a warm blanket (wouldn’t want to get cold ;-)). To me that’s the perfect end to Christmas!”

“Black is my happy colour! This
black velvet dress by Vintage Chic has a luxurious and festive look. The fabric
is lovely soft and stretchy and ensures a comfy fit. Definitely a plus when
you’re busy cooking Christmas dinner. For me, this is the perfect LBD to wear
on Christmas Day.”
What are your plans for the
holiday season?
“We always celebrate
Christmas Day with our family. We have a Secret Santa tradition, so we are
always excited to find out who our Secret Santa is. This year it’s our turn to
host the family gathering, so I’m planning to put together a fun quiz. And of
course: there will be delicious food all day long.
For a few years now, we’ve
had a new Boxing Day tradition: we get into our comfy outfits and spend the day
with friends eating all the leftovers and playing boardgames.”

party look and when will you be wearing it?
“When it comes to my Christmas
outfit, I like to go all out. And that makes this red Zoe Vine dress the
perfect choice. The fabric has a beautiful drape while the waist belt creates a
stunning feminine silhouette. Red is also the colour that makes me feel like my
most feminine self. So this dress is DEFINTELY a favourite for the festive
season. Let’s dress to impress!”
What are your plans for the
holiday season? What is your favourite way of spending the festive season?
“To me there is no better way to spend
the holidays than with my family. On Christmas Day we start the festivities
with a lavish Christmas breakfast. Then we gather around the Christmas tree to
unwrap gifts; we have a Secret Santa tradition so besides the gifts everyone also
prepares a special surprise (pronounced sur-preeze, a very Dutch tradition of gifting each other personally crafted items). For
Christmas dinner, it’s our tradition that everyone prepares one specific course.
So, every year it’s a surprise. We end the night with boardgames, tasty drinks
and lots of snacks!
