It’s 1939 and England is on the brink of World War II. Lilian Wells, who is 14 years old at the time, is apprenticed to a Bloomsbury dressmaker. Even though she has little experience or education, she has a natural talent for the art of dressmaking and becomes known as the ‘The Seamstress of Bloomsbury’. For many years her work is admired by aristocratic families from all over the world… And now you get the chance to admire Lilian’s work up close and personal. Who knows, you might even add a few items to your own wardrobe! Because The Seamstress of Bloomsbury brand has revived Lilian’s original 1940’s patterns and designs for its dresses thus making truly vintage inspired clothes.
