A day of glamour and empowerment
Today we have something very special to share with you. We recently collaborated with Hashtagtwo on a photoshoot, we found this experience deeply moving and I hope that you also feel the magic of that day. This shoot is a tribute to the strong women who have fought or are still fighting the battle against breast cancer. The goal? To give them the spotlight they deserve!
I saw a message on our socials that really got to me: "It was so wonderful to be a VIP for the day instead of a patient." These words perfectly capture what this day meant for these women. This was a day without medical checkups, doctors and worries and instead it was a day with a tear and a smile, a day of glamour, empowerment and most of all, lots of fun.
The day itself was just as special as the message we wanted to convey.
We started the day at the Topvintage headquarters, where we met our 11 gorgeous models.
They all picked out their favourite outfit and then Melissa (our model that you surely have seen before
) touched up their make-up. We then headed to our studio where the first pictures were taken and the afternoon ended with a delicious high tea
at Brasserie Nieuw Ehrenstein. We had such a fabulous time!
Our models were every bit as diverse as their stories. Some had opted for breast reconstruction surgery, while others were wearing a breast prosthesis, some women decide to get a beautiful tattoo while others make the decision to ‘go flat’. Every woman has her own unique strength, which was evident during this shoot and that’s exactly what we wanted to capture: the beauty of every woman.
At Topvintage we believe that clothes are about much more than fabric and yarn – it’s about how an outfit makes you feel. And these women? They radiated confidence. Every dress, every jumpsuit, every pair of shoes was worn with a sense of confidence that I won’t soon forget. From playful prints to elegant silhouettes, it was amazing to witness how our fashion made them shine even brighter.
Women who have faced this battle, deserve nothing less than a moment of beauty and celebration. They deserve a space where they can feel strong, beautiful and empowered, regardless of their past. That’s why today, we not only want to put the spotlight on our clothing, but more importantly, on these women.
Together with #2, we managed to organise this day with a focus on empowerment. Through this collaboration the message became even more powerful: every woman deserves to feel beautiful and strong, regardless of her journey.
