‘’I have always loved retro clothes, like pencil dresses. It reminds me of the outfits that my mum used to wear and now I inspire my own daughter by wearing them. Seeing all the new collections at work is fun (and very tempting ;-)). To me packing a customer’s order is like wrapping a gift. It’s so rewarding to know that it makes someone else happy.”

‘’After raising my family, I eventually started working at TopVintage. That is how I rediscovered my feminine side! I started wearing dresses again since they are readily available here and because I feel good wearing them! I mostly work in the returns department, surrounded by young people. There is a fun atmosphere here that helps to keep me young.”

‘’Since I started working at TopVintage, my closet is full of dresses! In our returns department we check if the return parcels are complete, whether the heels of shoes aren’t damaged, etc. and we make sure that all clothes are returned to stock neatly. Sometimes we also find a bar of chocolate or a card from the customer thanking us for our good service or telling us how happy they are with our collection in the return parcel. Super nice!’’

‘’It’s been almost 7 years since I started my job at TopVintage and I still love coming to work. Because it just feels like one big family here! I enjoy the different sides of my job: from packing customers’ orders to unpacking items from our new collections. There is variety in the work that I do! That also means that I’m still being challenged and that I learn new things all of the time!”’’

‘’I enjoy the atmosphere at TopVintage, everyone is just really friendly. I’m mostly busy doing jobs that involve sewing. This includes repair work and for example moving buttons that are not in the right place on items from new collections but I also made the curtains for the fitting rooms at our TopVintage Store. I also on a regular basis iron clothes that are being used for our photoshoots.’’

‘’The job of the people working in the returns department is to make sure that clothes are folded neatly and returned to stock, to further process the return and answer any questions concerning the returns. The job is very diverse! We quite regularly receive return forms on which a customer has written a little note complimenting our service. And come December, we also get Christmas cards. Things like that make our work even more fun!”

‘’I’ve been working at TopVintage for almost 10 years now and I love seeing all the positive feedback we get from women about our collections and service both on social media and in the reviews on our website. It has also been pretty cool to witness the growth of the company over the past few years, not only the number of employees but also in terms of the organisation itself becoming ever more professional! My own job is inventory management: I’m a real control freak and enjoy getting to the bottom of things and coming up with new ideas and ways to improve our processes. And the ideas I come up with are actually being used!”

‘’I love coming to work every day. I enjoy working with so many female co-workers: the atmosphere is always good and we work really well together! And there is the added bonus of all those fabulous clothes! Seeing how fashion from the past is making a comeback makes me really happy!’’

‘’My main job is preparing our customers’ parcels for shipping. While I’m packing an order, I picture the customer unpacking their new purchase. It’s important to me that when the parcel arrives with the customer it’s in perfect condition, so the customer is happy and can fully enjoy the TopVintage experience!’’

‘’I’m an inbound warehouse assistant but if and when needed I also perform a wide variety of tasks for other departments. Together with my co-workers in the inbound department, I check whether the deliveries from our suppliers are complete, I unpack the new collections and count the items to make sure that we have received the correct number of each item and size. Quite a challenging job but that’s what makes it so much fun!’’

‘’I’m the person who irons our clothes, like outfits for a photoshoot or items that have been returned. I love working with clothes all day long, because I simply adore fashion! I also enjoy watching documentaries about the history of clothes or retro series like Velvet. Love it! Our retro collections also remind me of my mother and that makes me feel very nostalgic.’’

‘’There is a lot of variety in the work that I do in the warehouse, from packing orders to helping out in our returns department. I really enjoy the work that I do because I like working with my hands. It’s also fun to see all the new collections, they really appeal to me!”

‘’I’m already a force of nature, lol! But to be honest, it just depends on the situation: usually in jeans, but I also like wearing a pretty dress for a special occasion. I only started wearing dresses since working at TopVintage but I do feel really good in a dress.”

‘’In a pretty pencil dress paired with a pair of heels! That’s the kind of outfit that makes me feel really feminine. As soon as I get home from work, I often swap my workwear for a cute dress. You have to show what you have, otherwise it just ends up hanging in your closet!’’ 

‘’I feel my best when wearing jeans, paired with a T-shirt or a cardi and sneakers! I sometimes wear a dress when going to a party, but I definitely feel most empowered when wearing a casual outfit.’’   

‘’Every time when I’m wearing a great pair of jeans, but nowadays also when wearing a pencil dress. If someone had told me a few years ago that I would be wearing dresses, I would never have believed them. But now I wear dresses quite regularly! I’ve come to appreciate them and wearing a dress also makes me feel feminine.’’ 

‘’In a bold & bright coloured dress! I particularly like being in the spotlight wearing a dress with a pretty cleavage and neckline. From A-line to figure-flaunting dresses: I have many different styles in my closet!’’ 

‘’It really depends on my mood: sometimes I prefer wearing trousers but other times I like wearing a dress. A tight-fitting dress, for example from Glamour Bunny, paired with high heels always makes me feel very feminine.’’ 

‘’In a fitted dress; I especially like wearing pencil and A-line dresses. Because those dress styles show off my feminine curves. In the years of working for TopVintage,
I have amassed quite a collection of pretty dresses!’’  

''In a dress: a dress has a comfy fit and makes me feel super feminine. And preferably a satin dress because this fabric always has such a lovely drape!’’ 

‘’I normally wear jeans to work, because they are so comfortable but just recently I have also started wearing dresses to work now and again. And when I go out I really enjoy wearing skirts and dresses! But I do feel most empowered in jeans: more than anything clothes just need to be comfy.’’ 

''In many different dresses! Since I started working at TopVintage 8 years ago, I have acquired quite a dress collection from brands like Vive Maria, King Louie, Smashed Lemon and Bettie Page. Some of those dresses I can also wear while riding a bike, while other dresses are perfect for a party. Like my light-blue, V-neck dress from Victory Parade that I only wear on special occasions!”

 

‘’I feel most empowered when wearing trousers paired with a pretty top. But I also think that the dresses in our collection are absolutely gorgeous! And when I do wear a dress, I usually opt for a figure-hugging style. I’m not that tall so I think that’s the style that looks best on me.”

‘’In a nice pair of jeans! I’ve never been one for wearing skirts or dresses. I feel good in jeans and wearing jeans also allows for more freedom of movement. That is important to me!”
