If you’re shopping in a brick-and-mortar store, you can shop using your senses; you can feel the fabrics, look closely at the items and try everything on. Shopping online won’t give you that same experience. That’s why we try to convey that feeling as best as we can using our detailed product descriptions. What are the fabric’s characteristics, how does it fit and is it stretchy? Which decade does the item represent? We also take great care in making our size guides. Because the clothing size that is actually on the label is less relevant than you might think. We are very much aware that ordering the wrong size is the biggest frustration when it comes to online shopping! That’s why we measure and try on every garment, so that our size guides can provide you with the best possible advice which will be the correct size recommendation 99% of the time. Is there any other advice these ladies can give you? Find out here!

‘’Don’t be guided by the clothing size that’s on the label. I know so many women that are convinced that they are a certain size and as a result they squeeze themselves into clothes that are actually too small while being afraid of buying a bigger size. What makes us unique is that we indicate how an item actually fits. Dare to be yourself and let go of that size that you think that you are!’’

‘’I think society puts a lot of pressure on people to look a certain way. You should just wear what makes you happy! Do you want to wear a crop top? Or go to the supermarket dressed in a swing dress with a petticoat? Just do it! Even if you have reached a certain age. I’m going to turn 37, I have 2 kids and I don’t look like a ‘typical mum’. But then again, what is a ‘typical mum’? I think you should just keep wearing the clothes that you feel comfortable in. You shouldn’t care what others think. If you wear something that makes you feel good, you will look good!’’

“Don’t compare yourself to others and don’t measure yourself against other people’s success. Scrolling through Instagram you will see so many success stories and beautiful women which can leave you feeling envious. But I think we should transform these feelings of envy into motivation. We should be giving each other compliments! Once we stop thinking of each other as competition, we can join forces to create a larger movement and have a much bigger impact on society!’’

‘’I quality check clothes before an item becomes available online. Are there any colour differences? Does the zipper work properly, is the distance between the buttons right? Are there any printing errors and is the size guide correct? Because we are women checking an item’s fit, we also have a better understanding of how an item will fit the women buying our clothes. That is definitely our strength!”

In which item or outfit do you feel most empowered

’With me feeling powerful isn’t about wearing a certain outfit or item of clothing. Over the years I’ve gone through this whole process of following numerous trends without ever feeling like I truly fit in. Thankfully I’ve now reached a point in my life where I’m happy about who I am and I just wear what I like. That’s why I feel empowered in every item I wear and more importantly: I’m my true authentic self!’’

''My go-to outfit is a pair of jeans with fun sneakers. To be honest, being a (bonus) mum to 3 boys I often prioritise comfort. Besides I’m no pro when it comes to walking in high heels, so when I go all out I usually wear a (maxi) dress paired with edgy boots. Edgy, but still feminine: that’s me!’’

‘’In everything that looks good on me: some days that’s a T-shirt with jeans and sneakers and other days it’s a dress with high heels. But with me it’s mostly about accessories: I always wear plenty of jewellery and a hat. That’s my signature style. I will even drive back home if I’ve forgotten my earrings for example!’’

‘’In a pretty dress: it makes me feel well-dressed and feminine! Especially a shirtdress, which is my absolute favourite style. It doesn’t matter if I’m going grocery shopping or going to a party, a shirtdress is always a great choice.’’
