5 fun ideas for a lockdown Valentine’s Day

Unfortunately, you won’t be spending Valentine’s Day having a romantic dinner at your favourite restaurant or watching a film at the cinema. But you shouldn’t let that stop you from having a wonderful time with your lover or bestie. Here are 5 lockdown-friendly dating tips for a memorable Valentine’s Day!

1. A game of strip poker with your lover
Ooh la la! Time to raid the board game cupboard for a deck of cards: a game of strip poker is sure to up the fun factor this Valentine’s Day.  With every item of clothes that comes off and is scattered across the floor, the tension will slowly start to build. Now all you need is some sexy lingerie from our collection and you’re all set!

2. Private dinner in your living room
Going out to dinner at your favourite restaurant is the classic Valentine’s Date that everyone enjoys. Sadly, that’s not an option this year, but if you can’t go to the restaurant, bring the restaurant to you! Hire a private chef and surprise your lover or bestie with an indulgent dinner. The perfect opportunity to give each other the gift of undivided attention and of course neither of you has the stress of cooking. Enjoy!

3. Write each other love letters
There is nothing more romantic than exchanging hand-written love letters. Let yourself be inspired by romantic lines from famous love letters. Open a bottle of your favourite fizz and enjoy a candlelight reading of each other’s love letters. This Valentine’s Day is sure to be a memorable one.

4. Go on a culinary walk
Take a long walk with your lover or bestie making regular stops to sample the delicious (homemade) food and drink that you brought with you. Hot drinks like mulled wine or hot chocolate will keep warm in a good thermos. Make sure you both bring some culinary delights to surprise each other and plan a fun (new) walking route with plenty of stops.

5. Questions, questions!

Even though the current lockdown is becoming quite tedious, it also provides a perfect opportunity to really get to know each other. What is it that you would really like to know about the other person? You each have to come up with some original questions (or you can look them up on the internet) and then write down each question on a separate piece of paper. Fold the strips of paper, put all of them in a jar and then take a piece of folded paper from the jar in turns. You can be sure that asking good questions will lead to wonderful conversations.
